Danni Lowinski is a former hairdresser who has graduated in law. When she does not get a job at a law firm, she starts to give legal advice from the basement of a shopping mall.
Twelve-year-old Wendy is not at all happy that she has to spend her summer vacation with her parents at her grandma Herta's run-down riding stables. Wendy has been afraid of horses ever since a riding accident. But then she meets the pretty mare Dixie, who has run away from the butcher. Slowly, a deep friendship develops between the horse and the girl, and while Wendy does everything she can to save Dixie, she also manages to overcome her fear.
Rebecca has recently split up with Ben. She now lives in the shared flat of her best friend sleeping on the sofa in a walk-through room. Rebecca is restless, walking through the streets of the big city, drifting. Rebecca goes to see her father in a nursing home almost every day. She meets Philipp but she does not really know herself what is going on between the two of them.
