A son quits his job and is persuaded by his father to head off to a cottage in the remote mountains. Together, the two of them manage to get through their days while wearing old jerseys left by a deceased grandmother. The following summer, the two once again leave the stifling heat of Tokyo, as if escaping to the mountain cottage. However, the next summer is very different.
Nakajima, Chinen, and Arioka play three useless students at a public junior high school. At first, they find their homeroom teacher dull and bothersome, but an incident leads them to take a liking to him. High school student Mio (Mari Iriki) lives in Kagoshima. Since her novelist father was lost, she has refused to go to school and lived on her father's yacht, which is anchored at a dock. Kiyomi (Asami Tanaka) likes yachting, because of her father's influence back in her childhood days. During a practicing yachting, Kiyomi lost her friend and she also quit her special yachting school. Kiyomi then transfers to a regular high school. Finally, these two girls meet.
High school film club member Maki shot a local tourism promotional video with her friends, but she wasn't happy with the mediocre outcome. One day, Maki comes up with a new idea and decides to reshoot the video at camp during spring vacation. The camp starts off with help from Misako, who works as an idol, and former video director Hirokazu.
