Denmark, 1755. Captain Ludvig Kahlen sets out to conquer a Danish heath reputed to be uncultivable, with an impossible goal: to establish a colony in the name of the king, in exchange for a royal title. A single-minded ambition that the ruthless lord of the region will relentlessly seek to put down. Set in the blooming 1960s, the film centres on two young brothers who are instantly robbed of their lives when they are placed in a boy's home forgotten by time. Armed only with a vivid imagination and a fickle hope, the boys engage in the frightening battle against Headmaster Heck and his lethal tyranny. The film is based on actual events.
Michael is the experienced and successful head chef of restaurant Værk. He suddenly has to defend his position, as new deputy chef Naja wants to modernize his restaurant. Naja comes with a completely different view of what constitutes today's leadership, equality and communication. Conflict between them is imminent. Even graver trouble, however, is ahead.
