The Chilacuan 2024

Quilla and Jacobo, although very different, are great friends: she is passionate about studying; he doesn't care much about school because he can't relate it to farm work. In the middle of the exam, Jacobo asks Quilla for a copy of the test and has them both annulled. The next day, at school, Jacobo asks Quilla for a moment to apologize. Will she listen to him?

This film takes a forgotten technical slideshow script made by a peasant association and brings it to life through 16 mm film, music and lyrics, as a recomposition and extension of resistance against violence through historical memory.

Yarokamena 2022

Yarokamena, a Uitoto indigenous person, organised an armed resistance to rubber exploitation in the Amazonas. He invokes the spiritual and cosmic forces of war, releasing its destructive power from its container creating a spiral of betrayal and death. Director Andrés Jurado will be present in both screenings.
