bycatch vol 1. explores the interplay between images, audio, and the unintentional juxtaposition of utilitarian and precious moments. The intentional curation of internet garbage and bycatch from my personal archive, layered with audio excerpts from my iPhone Notes app entries spanning 2018 to the present, aims to construct a poetics of personal digital intimacy. The result is a 5-minute video reflecting on the algorithmic uncanny, the self, and unexpected resonances found within the fragments of my own digital existence.
