Agung Jarkasih (born in Bogor, May 29th 1995) is an Indonesian filmmaker. He is also known as the founder of Bogor-based film community & production team named Bale Films. He is one of the most prolific filmmaker in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia.
A man gets back to his home in a little village and wants to take his father and his sister to live in the city. But he find difficulties that they reject to move and accept new culture.
In his unfortunate situation, living in poverty, and being belittled by others, Jantra promised his son Amar to buy a new house in a residential area near his village. After his divorce from Lastri, he still couldn't give up his bad habit of supernatural-lottery gambling (Togel). Even Jantra became increasingly obsessed.
Tirja is now on the brink of despair after the inherited business from his late father collapsed under his care. At the same time, his younger sibling, Marni, never hesitates to blame him, calling Tirja a burden on the family. As the one-year anniversary of his father’s death approaches, Tirja tries to find purpose by attempting to catch a big fish from the river where he usually escapes from his problems at home. However, the river holds deeper secrets than he imagined, as he frequently encounters a mysterious old man who offers him an unexpected way out.
