Set in the present, the series offers a bold, subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surreality of small-town life, the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade.
A series of vignettes include: a neglected and gadget addicted 6 year old who befriends a malevolent entity from a defunct children’s show, causing deadly events at home; a group of influencers gathering for a collab in a luxurious mansion; and a bunch of thrill-seekers who go on a trip to watch a meteor shower.
As she enters a prestigious conservatory, an aspiring singer joins the underdog show choir to try and make it to the nationals. But the journey to the top is steep, and she must go all out with her group to prevent her dream from fizzling out.
