The film narrates about the Pomors of the past and present. Over ten years of expeditions, the Solovetsky Maritime Museum and the Northern Seafaring Association have sent the yacht St. Peter to dozens of coastal villages and fishing grounds of the Pomor communities. Using as narrator an old Pomor man, the film reflects on past memories and present realia onboard the naval expedition. This is a journey into the past and present of the Pomors, designed to tell more about the indigenous communities along the White Sea coast and the philosophy of the contemporary Russians living off the sea.
