In this thoughtful and intriguing film, delivered within a stark, almost stilted animation, material life battles spiritual space. We see unmoored author Ami Arnette Alabaster toiling to create things of superficial value that appear to have no purpose and buying things for which she has no need until she meets a reader of one of her books.
